Xiaomi claims that over 6 lakh units of the Redmi Note 3 have been sold in India so far
Xiaomi is one of the top manufacturers in India, which has single handedly changed the face of the budget market segment. Although there are several other manufacturers in the mix as well, it goes without saying that Xiaomi is currently leading the pack along with Lenovo.
The company’s Global VP, Hugo Barra has now announced that the Redmi Note 3 handset has sold over 6 lakh units in India since its release in March. This, apparently, is the biggest record for the company yet, suggesting that the handset has been quite a hit for the company internally.
The Redmi Note 3 is sold via Amazon India as well as mi.com through weekly sales. It is said that the manufacturer is unable to keep up with the demand for the handset and has hence taken this route. But the day won’t be long when the production is streamlined and the device will be available sans flash sales.
For those looking to snatch up the device, Amazon is holding its flash sale tomorrow, while mi.com will have it on an open sale tomorrow as well. So if you haven’t registered for the phone on Amazon, make sure you head over to mi.com at 2PM tomorrow to grab the handset.
The Redmi Note 3 is available in two variants. One with 16GB of storage + 2GB RAM and the other with 32GB storage + 3GB RAM. These models are priced at Rs 9,999 and Rs 11,999 respectively.
