The Facebook Slideshow movie-maker is finally rolling out to Android devices
Facebook Slideshow movie maker, a feature that is a take on Google Photos’ Moments and Apple’s Memories, is finally being tested on Android devices.
Slideshow is basically designed to take the last 5 photos that you took and convert them into an animated ‘slideshow’ of sorts. Google Photos has had a similar feature for a very long time. In the Google app, a batch of photos and videos taken at a particular time, say at an event or venue, is converted into a small video clip with special effects and sounds.
Slideshow has been on iOS since June last year, but it’s only now making its way to Android. A member of our team has had the feature on his Android device for about two days now, but the feature doesn’t appear to have been rolled out to everyone yet.
Android Police reports that they received a tip that the feature is being rolled out, but their writers have also not had access to the feature yet.
Unlike the original version of Slideshow, you’ll now be able to create a slideshow from within the Android app using at least three existing photos.
