Micromax unveils entry level Canvas Spark 3 with 5.5-inch HD display at Rs 4,999
Domestic smartphone maker Micromax has announced the launch of its latest entry level Android smartphone. Micromax Canvas Spark 3 in the Indian market. The smartphone will retail exclusively on Snapdeal at Rs 4,999 via flash sale on April 7 2016 at 12 pm. Registrations for the Micromax Canvas Spark 3 will open on Snapdeal from April 1.
This phone is a successor to the Canvas Spark 1 and Canvas Spark 2, boasts a 5.5-inch HD IPS display paired with 2509 speakers to offer enjoyable media playback experience while playing HD games and watching videos. The smartphone features an 8MP Auto Focus rear camera and the front is equipped with a 5MP Fixed Focus camera.
The phone comes pre-loaded with 10 regional languages and has an 8GB internal memory, however there is no mention about the micros card slot, which can be a deal-breaker as the 8GB internal memory will not able to suffice the user’s media and application requirements.
Besides, the Micromax Canvas Spark 3 only has 1GB of RAM, which makes it not the best budget smartphone to offer multitasking. The processing power of the smartphone is handles by a 1.3GHz quad core processor. Canvas Spark 3 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and Micromax has added some tweaks to make the handset more user friendly in day-to-day usage. For instance, users can swipe right to translate or left to transliterate their messages in the language they want to communicate in. The ‘Swipe’ feature of the smartphone powered by Indus helps the consumers to type faster in their regional language using the patented Regional Keyboard with Matra and Word prediction and offers over 2 lakh words for each language.
The smartphone is powered by a 2,500mAh battery unit and will be available in Black and Champagne Gold colour.
