Lava launches KKT Ultra + Union feature-phone in India for Rs 1,500
In a time when touchscreen devices are all the buzz, it’s quite difficult to find suitable feature phones out there. Nokia is the only recognized brand out there that continuously offers such handsets in the mobile industry. Indian OEM Intex has now decided to join the fray with its new KKT Ultra + Union feature phone, priced at just Rs 1,500.
The handset will be available in Black and Grey color variants and will be available through online stores as well as physical retail outlets across the country.
To appeal to the Indian masses, the handset comes with support for 22 regional languages which include – Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Manipuri, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
Perhaps the most attractive feature of the KKT Ultra + Union is that it can be charged using a conventional ‘pin’ charger as well as a micro USB cable, making it an incredibly versatile offering.
Commenting on the launch, Gaurav Nigam, Head Product, Lava International said, “We at Lava are delighted to introduce KKT Ultra + Union, a device which is in line with our company’s mission to empower people to do more and be more by making valuable technologies accessible. Through this phone we want to bridge the language barrier and enable people to express themselves in their own language with their near and dear ones across the country. The launch of KKT Ultra + Union is another step towards strengthening our support to the government’s Make in India and Digital India initiative. It is a perfect phone which is Made in India and Made for India and we aim to celebrate this diversity and promote traditional regional languages in future also.
